Just wanted to let you know I'm fully stoked with the board.
It looks great and goes like a train. Last month I rode it a couple of times in clean 1 - 2 foot in the far south-east of Taz and had a ball (once I got used to paddling it), even managed it rail to rail, top to bottom a bit here and there. No trouble flicking-off late, it just drives straight through the lip.
Thanks for a great board and a great work of art.

My first impression of just paddling out on the new 9' 6" Empress, was one of awe and majesty of how well she glided smoothly and suppily through the line-up.
In comparison to a normal foam board, there is more attention to catching the wave, but once up and riding, I was particularly impressed with how well she glides, smooth turns, and stabilises with emphasis on free flowing long arcs and 'set up as you like' nose rides.
The finished product is a testament to their craftsmen's immaculate detailing. The wood, for all it's character and notches, just glows! Perfection to detail is evident in every stage of production, making your Empress Surfboard a living entity to 'go out and have fun trad board' or alternatively, a valuable art piece.
Simply put, a beautifully finished board, in all proportions, purpose built for surfing or just for display.
