Fall is here, know what that means? Wardrobe change. It time to say adios to your light attire and start preparing some heavy wear. If you have none in your wardrobe (no, not the treasure chest), it might be time to go shopping. Fall may mean heavy clothing but does not boring and dull. So you might want to try out some handy tips on how to be comfy and trendy this fall.
Away with those recycled woolen sweaters. Don’t throw them away. Hold on to them for those cold nights in the house. For your day and night outs, get yourself a mix of heavy and light cardigans and pullovers. Try doing a bit of those wide turtleneck sweaters. Don’t forget the simple woolen scarves. If you are the daring type, try a pair of wool knit trousers or blouse. One thing though, if you have to be daring check the mirror first.
Dull colors are a no-no
Black, gray, cream, white are simple comfortable colors to wear. But this is not the year for ‘comfortable’. Outdo yourself by complementing those universal colors with some shade of warm or cool colors. A pair of gray trousers would go well with some ocean blue. Ladies, how about an all red suit? Point is, stop feeling comfortable in dull colors. Do not conform, stand out. Here are some of the bright colors that are a must for fall.
Accessorizing the confident way
Fall is a time to celebrate, isn’t it? No more extreme heat and no woozy afternoons. Celebrate the cool weather by choosing some heavy accessory. After all, some ounce of extra weight won’t pull you down. This is the time to open up your jewelry box and try those heavy bangles. What about that necklace with a prominent centerpiece that you have been raring to wear. Do a mix of gold and silver with a few stones too. A small reminder; remember to match and complement your jewelry with other pieces of your clothing.
If there is one thing that fall bequeaths us, it is the wide choice of footwear. While it withdraws those open shoes, it allows us to experiment in other quarters. This fall there are a few styles you just have to try. Knee length boots are not going anywhere. Black is. Try being creative by using a variety of color schemes from glitter laden shoes to the ruby red shoes. Purple with the right dress will also work your way. Same goes for white. Choice of material? An accent of velvet, silk or full suede will grant you some noteworthy stares on the streets.
2015 and 2016 featured lots of diverse leather wear. Apart from those leather shoes, you can still retain those black chic leather jackets. Some leather miniskirts and wrap skirts will make you shine if you wear them shining and well. Leather satchels and clutch bags will give you a hint of sophistication too.
Runway meets the street
Let’s be honest, mainstream fashion designers have a way of designing extraneous pieces and trying to sell them off as seasonal ‘in-things’. Seemingly, not this year. There are a good number of commendable fashion pieces from major fashions stables. Do a little research and choose what works for you. Start by taking a peek at styles exhibited in various fashion shows held in the course of the year.
